OUR COLLABORATION WITH KUKAMA WILDLIFE COLLEGE
As part of our collaboration with Kukama Wildlife College, Maloba hosts the FGASA assessment weeks on the reserve. During this phase of the course, students are assessed in a real wilderness environment, gaining on-the-ground exposure to authentic guiding conditions, diverse habitats, and wildlife encounters essential for professional evaluation.
This partnership is rooted in shared values and a common vision for ethical guiding and conservation. Both Maloba and Kukama share the gemsbok as a symbol, an animal known for its resilience, adaptability, and strength in challenging environments, and one that is synonymous with this region. The name Kukama, meaning gemsbok in the Khoisan language, reflects this same spirit and aligns naturally with Maloba’s landscape and conservation philosophy.
