NOVEMBER 2025 AT MALOBA
Maloba Private Game Reserve
NOVEMBER 2025 AT MALOBA
With the start of November, the first real feeling of summer arrived. The days became hot, but with the heat came the thunderstorms, big, dark clouds gathering on the horizon and bringing some good rain, thunder and lightning across the reserve.
At the start of the month, we replaced the satellite collar of one of our male cheetahs, making sure we can continue to follow his movements around the reserve. It was a smooth operation and an important part of monitoring the rewilding process.

During this month we also welcomed Kukama, a FGASA course group, here to complete their practical assessments. Their enthusiasm and curiosity bring a great energy to the reserve, and its been wonderful seeing them experience Maloba with their fresh field-guiding eyes.

With the mix of heat, rain, and all the activity around the reserve, November felt like a month of change. The season has shifted, the landscape is taking on its summer colours, and the weeks ahead look exciting with new projects already lined up for next month.
